Eden 's school was having the Polar Express the other day and Eden had told all of us that she wasnt riding that train! Cassie ask me to go and take some pictures since she had a test that morning and Dusty had to work. When I walked in to the school all the teachers told me that Eden had proudly told them all "She was NOT riding that train. I am standing to the entrance to the Polar express so I can get her picture when she gives her ticket and she is very worried and the first words to me were "Im not riding that train !" I said OK Eden we will just watch all your friends have fun then. You dont have to ride the train . She kinda looked up at me surprised. I think she really wanted us to beg her to ride it, so I just started snapping pictures of the other kids on the train. Eden keeps inching toward the train and Im like, Eden, you dont want to ride the train so come sit with me and we will make pictures of all your friends. Well, at that moment she surprised me and her teachers and got in the train, looking real worried though. The conductor blows his horn and says ALL ABOARD for the Polar Express !! She screams, Granna, Get IN ! Im looking at those Very tiny train seats and wondering if I can fit Granna in there, but I squeezed in before the train took off, with legs all cramped up trying to fit in the train made for pre-schoolers. So, in the end Eden Made Granna ride the train !! LOL What ever works ! :) Hope you enjoy the slideshow !

I also added a slideshow from Madison, Zoe and Meisi's dance studios Christmas Formal since alot of you that reads the blog doesnt do face book. Dont pay attention to the Party Slideshow where it says Staring Zoe and Meisi. I can not figure out how to change that. It was left over from another slideshow I made a year or two ago and want edit off.

I am sorry for being such a bad blogger these days. I do have alot to say, as most of you know ! I am going to try and get better and blog at least each week or month. Nice hearing from everyone !

Zoe in Horse paradise !!

I put the horse story on Facebook , but FB only lets you write so much and then you have to finish in in seperate comments. I had everyone so confused along with myself, so I am putting the whole little crazy story here on my blog so everyone that wants to hear it can read it in on place.

The girls were all outside playing and riding scooters and skateboards yesterday on the driveway. My kitchen window looks out to the driveway and I looked out to check on Zoe and Meisi when I noticed Madison was taking a picture of something on the ground with her phone. All of a sudden I saw something junp at her all coiled up. It was a SNAKE.So, I ran outside and told her to quit making pictures and get away from it! Im trying to figure out what to do with this aggressive snake since it is right on my driveway and all could just imagine in somehow getting in my car or house! eeeks. All of a sudden two men ride up on horseback(I have never seen horses on my road in the 3 years we have lived here) They get off the horses and take care of the aggressive snake(by the way it was a chicken snake, not dangerous, but still aggressive) I hate snakes no matter what kind they are(sorry snake lovers)

Thank gosh the snake is gone, then I notice Zoe is in heaven looking at the two horses. This girl loves horses and has loved them from the time she was 11mths old when we brought her home from China. Its in her blood. I mean really, really loves them. She has a huge barn in her room with over 50 horses in it. She has 3 pair of cowboy boots that fit her at the moment and I dont know how many cowgirl dresses skirts and gear. The man ask her if she wants to ride and I think he is quite tickled at the way she walked up to his horse and acted like it was her best friend in the world. She doesnt hesitate to tell him Yes and he lets the girls ride as long as they like. Even though Zoe was disappointed that she didnt have her cowgirl boots and gear on she was so thrilled and said this was the best day of her life. I did however go grab my camera and take a few shots. So the men on horses saved the day! Prince Charmings in every sense of the word! The best part was when they told Zoe they would come back and let her ride again and even bring the horse carriage next time.

I cant beleive the summer has went so quickly! Sorry for ignoring this blog latley, but I hope to have more post and pictures of the girls when school starts back. I am way behind in posting pictures. I think I have about 900 pics of summer events. Zoe will start 1st grade in 6 days and Meisi will start K5. Where has the time gone??! I am working on a special video slideshow of Zoe's Gotcha day and time in China. I hope to have it ready by her 6 year Gotcha day comming up in just a couple of weeks! I cant believe 6 years ago today we were waiting for August 13 to come so we could board our United Flight to be united with our 11 month old baby girl. Time goes by way to fast these days!! Here are some pictures of our friend visit with some travel buddies on that exact trip in 2003. Cathy Epperson just got home from Vietnam in Feb. with a beautiful baby named Catie! Back from the Beach and Grand championship dance competition......

The girls did great at the Platinum National Dance Competition in Panama City Beach! There are to many pics to post, but I will share some highlights. Madison's Team won "Platinum" for "Miss Jackson" Her trio dance "Get Ready" won a Gold and also qualified to dance at the "Best of the BeACH" on Saturday night. Only 28 groups were allowed to dance that night and they were chosen. Madison was also chosen to dance in the Opening Number for "Best of the BeaCH" with about 20 other girls from all over the US. They had about 5 hours of practice to learn a hard dance routine and they did it with no flaws.
Zoe and Meisi's team also won a Gold for their Jazz dance to "Candy Man" the judges loved them and also gave them a judges award ! They were the youngest in the competition and received a 3rd over all in their division. We were all suprised since there were so many great dancers there. Not that they arent good, but just because they were so young to win that big at a National Competition. Here are a few highlights of the competition. I will add beach Pics later! Enjoy!

I had the opportunity to speak at the 9th Annual Hokes Bluff Girl Scout MOTHER/DAUGHTER Banquet a few weeks ago. My girls were also invited to come along and they had such a fun time! Each year they have a different theme and this year the theme was " China " They had some of the most beautiful decorations. I forgot to bring my camera so I didnt get to make pictures, but a sweet angel sent me a few. The food was all catered , and of course was wonderful chinese food. I was asked to speak on China, and anyone that knows me knows I have alot to say about it! After speaking to the girls we had question and answer time and I couldnt believe how interested the girl scouts were. They asked many questions and were so smart in all their questions. They were also very interested to know about adoption from China, which surprised me a little being that they were kids. I think a few seeds were planted in the minds of these children. Of course Zoe and Meisi were the celebrities of the night, and even had their picture taken with one of the troops. Madison also got to show all the girls how to dance the Hoedown Throwdown! It was so much fun! Thank you Lisa Godfrey for inviting us to be a part of your Mother/Daughter dance, and thank you for letting me tell Zoe and Meisi's story!

Zoe finally lost that tooth that has been hanging by a thread for weeks! She looks so cute with it out, but its also sad since she will be getting Big Girl teeth soon. It seems like when those new big teeth come in, it takes their faces a few years to grow to the teeth.

Someone emailed me the other day and ask me why I havnt posted a picture of Sofie latley. Well, here she is looking pretty scruffy since she had her "female" surgery and hasnt been able to take a bath. I think she looks more like a Deputy Sheriff :)

Where has the time gone ? From your first Easter until your first born child has gone so fast. I could not have asked for a more wonderful Son in the world ! I am so proud of the man you have become. You have achieved all of your goals you set up to achieve. You have a wonderful family,home and career. I remember one of your doctors telling me one time that you would be something in the medical field. You were only about 10 at the time. Who would have guessed you would have been putting people to sleep?! You always worried about your grades and would come home from school telling me that your teacher had averaged your grades wrong, and instead of a 98, you should have had a 99 in that class.LOL!
Early on in your life we knew you would be musical. You loved Church and you would watch closely at the piano player and guitar players. Trying to give you lessons was of know use either. Your piana teacher told me there was no use in me paying her to give you lessons. You were teaching her things. You had an ear for music. Any instrument you picked up you learned to play. That wasnt good enough for you though, you still wanted to read music, so you taught yourself to read music too. What an awesome praise and worship leader your were at Life Church! I will run into people from that church from time to time and they always say how much they miss you there, and wish you hadnt of moved so far away. I hope that you can find a church in Indiana and glorify God with your awesome talents.
I love you with all my heart and want you to know that you are the reason YOU have 4 sisters. It was the joy you brought to my heart from the first day you were born that made me decide I would do this again. Who would have guessed that a little baby boy would send me to China one day, but Yes, you are the reason. Not one time but twice. So, when you come home this summer and the house is chaos, remember its all your fault ! :) I love you so much and now that you have a child of your own Im sure you can understand the love

Zoe and Meisi recently went to a Cool Birthday party where the kids were instructed on how to paint this cute ladybug! Thank you to McCartney for inviting us to your wonderful party! Zoe and Meisi had a ball! I (bad Mama) forgot my camera ,so had to make a picture after we got home. Wish I had some pictures of the girls doing the Hannah Montannah Hoe-down throw-down at McCarneys Party, so if any of my friends would like to pass a pic along I would be so grateful ;)

Zoe's BIG Fish story.....

This is one story of the fish that DIDN'T get away!
Zoe and Meisi love to go fishing with their Daddy. One day last week it was pretty and warm, so they decided they would go fishing with Daddy. I always walk out to the pier when they are pulling in to see what their great catches were or hear their stoties of the Big one that got away. Zoe caught a 5 lb bass and acually got it in the boat with only a little help from daddy. She will catch them ,but doesnt want to touch or hold them at all. Here they are pulling in, and then getting a picture made with the Big one!

Fishers of Men....National Tournament Trail

Just wanted to say congrats to my hubby and his fishing buddy for winning the Fishers of Men Bass Tournament last Saturday. All those "practice" days finally paid off! They had a little over 16lb of Bass and said they caught them on a Shaky head worm Ha Ha. Here is the photo that was featured on the Fisher of Men website. Congrats guys!!

Ballet Magnificant !!! Before Your Throne... "Boldy"

Some of the Moms on our girls dance team decided to take our kids to see this production tonight. It was wonderful! It was all done to praise and worship music and was breathtaking to watch. The ladies who danced were so beautiful, and so graceful. Our 5 and 6 yr olds loved it for about 3 dances and then after several meltdowns, the last couple of dances they were back to watching. Zoe ,Meisi and Emma B. were all excited to see an asian girl in the Ballet. Its funny how they all look and pick out asian people, even though they have been raised here in the US. I guess they like seeing girls who look like them.
We also took all the girls out to eat mexican tonight before the ballet. I didnt get to get many pictures in the ballet because they wouldnt let us use flash photography, but Zoe and Emma B. did get their picture made with the asian dancer. Meisi was having a meltdown so she is not in the picture. Not having a nap today did not help her mood since the ballet was not over until around 9pm. Here are a few pictures of the night. Over all I think the girls had fun. The moms have all decided we want to go see this Ballet again without the little ones ;)

Our baby turned 5 years old yesterday! I cant believe she is already 5. Time goes so slow when you are waiting for them to come home, and then once you get them, times flies!
Meisi insisted that she wanted a swimming party for her 5th birthday, but its January and that cant happen. We decided that we would just have a low key family birthday party for her real birthday,and in May or June we will have one for all her little friends from school and dance. She thought that sounded like a good idea. She didnt feel good on her birthday as you can tell in the pictures, but here are a few pictures from the day. Eden Jewel is 2 years old and so funny. This kid keeps me in stitches. Just look in her eyes and you can see how smart,funny and witty she is. Eden is my daughters little girl and they live close by. Isnt she cute, and that hair is beautiful!

Haven Brynlee is going on 3 months old and I havnt seen her since she was born when I flew out to Indiana. This is my sons baby and he and his wife and Haven are comming home for a week real soon. I cant wait to see this precious baby again. Its so hard when they live so far away. Haven has the prettiest eyes and looks so adorable in this picture. Haven, you are so loved and missed! This is one winter that they have not had to be cooped up in the house(unless you count the flooding today) Its sure not because of cold weather here in the Southern part of the US. It has been very warm, which just doesnt seem right at Christmas time. It never really seemed like Christmas this year since it was so warm. I had so many Christmas pictures that I decided to just add them in a slideshow in order to post alot of them. Unfortunalty, Greg got a "Kick Your Butt" Stomach virus Christmas day morning, and he gave me a nice present of "Kick Your Butt" Stomach virus for the day after Christmas, so most of my pictures are not of the girls all dressed up as that didnt happen ;) All in all we still managed to have 2 family Christmas gatherings at our house this week. Brave family members,don't you think!!

We still had a great Christmas! I am never able to take pictures of the family gatherings like I wish I could when I am hosting, so most of the pictures are of the girls. Sorry it took me so long to post Zoe's Santa Picture, but since I posted Meisi's it has been WILD here ! All 3 girls perform for Strut USA and we have had alot of Christmas performances and even a very Nice formal Christmas Party (Pictures to come)Plus other things going on) Tonight is the Christmas Parade. It will be interesting to see if Zoe and Meisi will make it all the way down Broad Street marching and twirling. No riding on a float all covered up in blankets for them this year. Madison will of course be Marching in her cute Santa outfit also. Here is Zoe's Santa Picture from Bass Pro Shop(no mall Santa for us) LOL! You cant see her list like you can Meisi's because her hand moved and the picture blurred. But her list was not short and sweet like Meisi's. It was a mile long. I guess she thinks she has been pretty good this year. :)

I just want to say Happy Birthday to my daughter Madison, who turned 12 TODAY! You are such a wonderful daughter, and I thank God every day for you. Zoe and Meisi loved Vacation Bible school this year, as always. This year they talked alot about Missions and how we need to reach out to other countries about God, and that many people in other countries worship other things besides God. Zoe told me the night this picure was taken(after parents night) that she wanted to be a missionary and go to China and tell those people to quit praying to the big fat statue, her words not mine. That night when she prayed her bedtime prayers she asked God to let her go back to China one day and tell them to start praying to Him and not the statue. Simple words for a little 5 year old girl, but a tear jerker for Mom. She has continued to pray this same prayer since June. Her little heart was broken for the people of China, her people. I know one day Zoe you will be back in China and there is no doubt you will be telling the people about God.

Here is Zoe and Meisi at church. They learned a new song and the signs to it. Can you tell they are very serious. I hope they are always interested in sign language ! I think it is beautiful done to praise and worship. Seeing them on stage brings me to tears . I think where they would have been if they were in China ,and I know they wouldnt be in church learning new praise and worship songs.

Here is our precious Meisi. She is so funny. This is one of her dance pictures. She loves dance picture time because she gets to wear "Makeup".

One day I was trying to tell Meisi that beauty is not on the outside of us, but what is on the inside that makes us beautiful. I have told her this on many occasions since the girls are always getting from everyone "How Beautiful they are" and I want them to understand that beauty really is only skin deep. So, I think I have finally gotten the point across and we are getting ready for a dance performance one day, applying the performance makeup and all and I say, Meisi, what makes us beautiful? Thinking she will say "My heart" she surprises me with "MakeUp"!! Oh well ?? Here is Meisi Jade YanLi at 4 years old wearing her makeup and her precious smile.

Zoe Faith is now 6 years old. Where has the time gone? My little baby is now a big girl. Zoe loves horses and anything to do with them. She has a cute cowgirl dress and pink boots and a pink hat. She would wear that every day if I let her. Zoe is so sweet and loving. She is a very caring little girl and so so sensitive. I love her hugs and kisses each morning. Zoe loves school work and any kind of crafts. She will sit for hours with her sister , Meisi and draw and cut and glue. She comes up with some funny things when she does crafts. She is very creative. Zoe is showing a great interest in China right now and wants to talk about China. She prays every night for China and the people. She tells me often she wants to visit China some day soon, and I hope to take her back and maybe meet her foster family in FengCheng,JiangXi.

Meisi was 14months at referral, and she turned 16months a few days after Gotcha day. The referral picture was taken at about a year old . I remember having to wait 5 weeks to go get her after receiving this picture and I couldnt wait to kiss those chubby cheeks!
